Residents and staff from Salyersville Nursing and Rehabilitation recently enjoyed a wonderful day of fishing, food, and friendship thanks to the generosity of B & J Pay Lake in Pigeon, Kentucky.
Our staff loaded up the facility bus and headed out for a memorable outing where residents spent the day relaxing by the water, casting their lines, and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. These community outings provide much more than recreation—they promote social interaction, encourage physical activity, stimulate memories, and support emotional well-being.
A very special thank you goes to Brianna from our Respiratory Department and her family, who went above and beyond to make this day possible. They ensured every resident had a fishing pole, bait, a shady place to sit, and even provided a delicious pizza lunch. Their kindness didn’t stop there—they generously welcomed our group at no charge, allowing everyone to enjoy a truly special experience.
We are incredibly grateful for community partners like B & J Pay Lake and for staff members who continually find ways to enrich the lives of our residents. Days like these remind us that some of life’s greatest joys come from simple pleasures, good friends, and the generosity of others.
Thank you, Brianna, your family, and B & J Pay Lake, for helping create a day our residents will not soon forget!
