Residents were all smiles this week as the Therapy Department introduced a creative—and hilariously energetic—new activity: a life-size game of Whack-AMole using brightly colored pool noodles!
Therapists volunteered to be the “moles,” popping up from behind decorated boxes while residents gently tapped them with foam noodles. The room filled with laughter as the friendly competition encouraged movement, coordination, and quick reaction skills in a fun, low-impact way.
The game not only provided meaningful exercise but also boosted morale for everyone involved. Residents loved seeing their therapists in such a playful role, and the therapy team enjoyed creating an activity that blended physical benefits with pure joy.
It was a delightful reminder that therapy can be effective and entertaining—and that a little creativity goes a long way in keeping residents motivated and smiling!
