Letter from the Administrator

Hello Everyone,

My Name is Josh Calhoun, and I am the new administrator of Salyersville Nursing. I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the wonderful friends, families and residents of Salyersville Nursing. I first want to thank you for choosing the caring wonderful team here at Salyersville Nursing and we look forward to further serving you.

I am originally a Prestonsburg native, I started my career as a nurse aid when I was nineteen years old. As I worked the floor in a direct care roll I furthered my education at Alice Lloyd college and obtained a degree in business administration. After graduating from Alice Lloyd I moved on to Morehead State university and studied for my masters in Business administration. I then took on a apprentice role under former Salyersville Nursing administrator Missy Allen, who helped me learn many of the things that will make our community here great! I learned to work with the realization that we work in the residents home and we need to strive to make this long term care community as homelike as we possibly can. I also try to keep an open door policy, so I would love to hear your ideas to make this community the best it can possibly be!

I want to thank you so much for giving me such a warm welcome to Salyersville Nursing and I want to once again stop by to hear what you have to say, or simply say hello.

Sincerely,

Joshua L. Calhoun
