Residents took a trip to the Kentucky Horse Park on August 22. We started out our day heading to Lexington for an adventure. Of course, many laughs were had along the way and throughout the day. Our first stop was at Cracker Barrel for a good home-cooked meal. Residents selected a variety of items from fried fish to hamburgers. We left there unable to barely breathe we were all so full. Finally, we arrived at our destination at the Kentucky Horse Park. Residents and staff enjoyed the first event and made the cutest little donkey friend. After that, we headed on over the horse-drawn carriage area and oh how beautiful that was to see and enjoy. Lastly, we headed over to the final event of the day and met the last man to ride the Man O War before he passed away. All I can say is if you have not visited you need to do so. Residents and staff had a wonderful day out and about.
